Tan Wee Kiong (born 21 May 1989 in Tangkak, Johor)〔http://www.bam.org.my/?option=com_content&view=article&id=2070&itemid=111〕 is a Malaysian Chinese professional badminton player in the mens doubles event. He was born in Johor but moved to Sabah in 2001.〔http://www.dailyexpress.com.my/news.cfm?NewsID=92101〕 His former partner was Hoon Thien How and together, they reached a career high world ranking of No. 7. Prior to that, Tan briefly partnered another World Junior Champion Mak Hee Chun.
As of September 2014, his official partner is Goh V Shem. They currently have a world ranking of No. 19 and together, they won the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games.
==Career==
Tan started his junior career as a mixed doubles player. However, he later transitioned into men's doubles. In 2007, he won the Asian Junior Championships mixed doubles gold medal with Woon Khe Wei. They were seeded second and first at the 2006 and 2007 World Junior Championships but were defeated in the fourth round on both occasions.
